Schilthorn & Lauterbrunnen Travel Guide: James Bond Views & Alpine Waterfalls🇨🇭

This week we explored Schilthorn, Switzerland, traveling from Lauterbrunnen up to the summit at 2,970 meters for breathtaking 360° views of the Swiss Alps. Along the way, we stopped in Mürren, a picturesque car-free alpine village, before reaching the world-famous Piz Gloria revolving restaurant, featured in the James Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. We enjoyed the James Bond brunch buffet with incredible views, visited the Bond World 007 museum, and checked out interactive exhibits like the helicopter simulator and bobsled escape. The combination of alpine scenery and cinematic history made this one of the most unique mountain experiences in Switzerland.

After descending from Schilthorn, we explored Lauterbrunnen Valley, also known as the “Valley of Waterfalls.” We visited the stunning Staubbach Falls, one of Switzerland’s tallest waterfalls, and experienced the annual cow parade, where decorated cows return from the alpine pastures for winter. Between the soaring cliffs, charming alpine traditions, and iconic Bond filming locations, this adventure perfectly captured the magic of the Bernese Oberland.
