If you're new to painting on rocks, I suggest you watch the video once to get an overview. Then, when you're ready to paint, watch it again, pausing when needed. Take your time, there's no rush. Just enjoy the process.

Speaking of which, allow the acrylic paint to completely cure (one to two weeks) before you varnish. I like to apply 2-3 coats. Make sure you use a UV protected varnish to resist fading from the sun. If you're going to have your stone outside, bring indoors in bad weather (rain, snow, freezing or hot/humid temps). Varnish makes your painted rock water resistant not waterproof. Allow the ink to dry completely (over night) before varnishing.
