So basically Lydia finds out that Loki is a frost giant and she is incredibly scared of him. But because Lydia does love Loki she can't bring herself to leave him. Loki is just wants her to make up her mind so he can know if is going to mourn over her or not. That's why the lyris go "make up your colourful mind" . Loki then starts getting a bit unhinged by killing people and stuff. Lydia becomes even more scared then and keeps imagining that he's going to kill her. Loki starts getting impatient and Lydia starts having nightmares. In the end Loki just kills her beause he knows that the pain is all the same.
