A pendulum wave, but instead of rigid bobs on strings, soft glowing blobs bouncing along a rainbow arc. Outer blobs swing slow, inner blobs swing fast.
The blob-like effect comes from rendering the pendulum positions onto a grid of pads, with each pad picking up the colour and glow of nearby bobs. Crank up the interpolation and the typical crisp bobs become soft blobs that melt into their neighbours.
