Food Truck Dishes from around the U.S. (Veganized by Dustin Harder)

The backstory: Dustin Harder is a good friend and one of our favorite chefs. Earlier this year Duncan shot a trailer for his new cookbook, Simply Vegan. In exchange for the help, Dustin agreed to cook for a dinner party at our apartment in March. We couldn't release the episode right away because at the time, Dustin was a candidate for a cooking competition show, The Great Food Truck Race. Dustin used the dinner party as an opportunity to test out the menu he developed for the show, a medley of veganized food truck dishes inspired by regions of the U.S.:

California Flatbread with Artichoke Pesto
Grilled Romaine Alabama BBQ salad
Maine Lobster Rolls
Southwest Chickpea Hush Puppy Burgers
Philly Cheese Steak
Shamrock Canolis (not from the U.S. obvi... it was St. Patty's Day)

Unfortunately, Dustin didn't make it onto The Great Food Truck Race--their loss! But he remains an underrated talent both in the kitchen and in front of the camera. He is currently working on his second cookbook, Epic Vegan, coming in 2019.
