🌈 In this episode:
• Ride the Rainbow Slide and learn the colors you see
• Discover the Color Wheel through a jazzy seaside adventure
• Visit Paris in 1886 to meet Georges Seurat and learn about pointillism
• Dance through a surf-rock lesson on how to hold your paintbrush

A little behind-the-scenes story:
When I was in film school, a guest speaker once told me that motherhood and a career in the film industry couldn’t coexist. And after six years working in the industry, I started to believe that might be true.
I transitioned into teaching art in the classroom, which brought me joy again — that spark kids naturally have. But I missed editing, storytelling, and worldbuilding, which were always my real artistic home.
During the pandemic, I shifted to teaching portrait painting online, but it slowly became more sales and marketing than creativity. After a health scare, I realized I needed to return to the thing I loved most: building worlds, the way I did as a kid with a camcorder and a dual-VHS deck.
That’s how Beth’s Brush House was born.
I still use all the tools I’ve used for years — Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Character Animator, Audition —but it's the new, creative "intelligence" tools that have allowed me to create the worlds that would have not been possible for me before. They let me be my own tiny film studio in the quiet hours before my daughters wake up.
This show is the dream I thought I’d lost — a way to blend art, music, storytelling, and education into something kids and parents can enjoy together. Something thoughtful. Something alive. Something that doesn’t talk down to anyone.
And if you’re a grown-up who wants to learn realistic portrait painting, I moved all three of my portrait courses (which I used to sell) to my other YouTube channel — completely free — so I could focus on making this show:
