NowTV - Oops something went wrong.

A quick guide to what to do if your nowTV box keeps giving 'oops something went wrong.' errors and normal solutions failed to fix the problem.

Aside from technical problems, I don't think I'd recommend the nowTV box because of how clunky the interface is and the various glitches. It certainly isn't user-friendly for non-techies.

Initially you should unplug your router and nowTV box for 30 seconds and then plug them back in and check if the problem has gone away.

If that doesn't work, the next step will be a factory reset. This reset is annoying because you'll have to re-enter your wifi details, nowTV account details, scan for channels and so on.

You can also try disable network pings or forced software updates via the secret menus. You can find more about this on the nowTV support pages.

If you've tried everything and your box is still giving errors, like mine was, you can easily return it to nowTV for a refund, as long as you bought it directly from them.

If you bought the box from Argos, you'll need to call their tech support team on 0345 600 3021, explain the problem and get a return reference number. You can then take it back to Argos for a refund.
