A security officer is constantly on duty in Hlopoko’s apartment.
Frightened by stories about the fate of Soviet scientists Katerina persuades Vlad to flee.
Litvin is playing a double game.
Katerina and Vlad are being prepared to be sent to Moscow. Their transfer – a great chance for a resident to perform the task of the German command and destroy Shtur.
Litvin offers Shut to become the guard when transporting Katerina and Vlad to the train to Moscow. The convoy vehicles are ambushed, Shut, who actually turned out to be an agent of the Soviet counterintelligence is wounded, Litvin manages to escape.
Katerina and Vlad take the train to Moscow, Litvin follows them.
Hlopko is arrested but released from the convoy, when it became to be known that Litvin was a spy.
