At flyweight Brandon Moreno became the first interim champion of the weight class in 2022.

Renan Barao became the first bantamweight interim champion in 2012 and Petr Yan became the 2nd interim champion in 2021.

At featherweight, Conor captured the interim title in 2015, and in 2016 both Jose Aldo and Max Holloway held the interim title. And in 2023, Yair Rodriguez became the 4th interim champ at the weight class.

Lightweight has only had 3 interim champions, Tony Ferguson in 2017, Dustin Poirier in 2019, and Justin Gaethje in 2020.

Welterweight is the same with GSP in 2007, Carlos Condit in 2012, and Colby Covington in 2018.

Middleweight has only had 2 with Robert Whittaker and Israel Adesanya.

Same with lightheavyweight with Randy Couture in 2003 and Jon Jones in 2016.

Heavyweight’s had the most with 6, namely Andrei Arlovski, Frank Mir, Big Nog, Shane Carwin, Fabricio Werdum, and Ciryl Gane
