Memories of a Student (early 80s) | Moments in Time - Experiences with Sathya Sai Baba

Vijay Raman relives precious experiences from his time as a student at Sathya Sai Baba's school, and shares life wisdom.

Editor's Notes:
-Swami is a term of endearment devotees use for Sathya Sai Baba
-Pradakshina means to reverentially circumambulate (walk around all sides of a holy site, shrine, or person in usually a clockwise motion)
-Prashanti Nilayam is the principle ashram of Sathya Sai Baba
-Puttaparthi is the township where Sathya Sai Baba was born and where an ashram, multiple schools, hospitals and other facilities exist.
-Thread Ceremony is a right of passage - a young person receives a cord tied over the left shoulder and under the right arm. These materials signify initiating readiness for learning, studying and spiritual practices.
-Seva means service - Sevadals are service volunteers who are often an integral help to the running of Sathya Sai Baba's Ashram's and Projects
-Darshan is sight of a holy personage or being
