Fender Stratocasters from the 1970s generally aren't regarded as high-quality instruments. From heavy urethane finishes to loose fit and finish, these instruments weighed a ton and usually worked better as a boat anchor!
In this video, I take a partially stripped 1979 Stratocaster and remove its finish, spray a 3-tone nitrocellulose lacquer sunburst, refret the neck, fix the neck pocket and make a playable guitar from a loose collection of parts.
