空手道形教範 第二指定形より、「エンピ」の正面からの映像を公開！

「エンピ」は、身体の伸縮の多い形である。いきなり身を沈めて突きと蹴りを受け、飛び込み反転しての敏速果敢な攻防の連続から最後は上段突きを左掌で受けると同時に、右手を相手の股間に差し入れて一回転しての肩車投げで終わる。さながら飛び舞う燕のような技の動きから、松涛館流では「燕飛」と命名した。別名を、伝えた武人の名といわれる「ワンシュウ」 という。
This Kata has a lot of body expansions and contractions. The performer quickly lowers the body, blocks punches and kicks, and then plunges and turns toward the opponent. Executing a series of quick and bold actions both offensive and defensively, at the end the performer blocks the Jodan-Tsuki with the left palm and at the same time, inserts the right hand into the opponent’s groin, rotating once, and ends with the Kataguruma-Nage. Because the movements in this technique resemble a flying swallow. Shotokan-ryu named this Kata as ”Enpi“. Another name is Wanshu, which is said to be the name of the warrior who conceived the nameterm.
