Legacy Oregon Burn Center helped bring firefighter back to life

Legacy Oregon Burn Center is a place where medical expertise meets human compassion. Like when Gresham firefighter Spencer Tejedas suffered severe burns on 45% of his body while responding to a residential fire. After four months of care at Legacy Oregon Burn Center, he was able to move on to rehabilitation and eventually return home to his wife and their two boys.

“The Oregon Burn Center saved my life,” Spencer shared. “Traumatic experiences, as dark as they may seem, there's light. They hold that light and they'll show you yours that you may have lost. My light was pretty dim, but every single person brought me out of there.”
