🥨 HOMEMADE TWISTED DONUTS – TRADITIONAL, SOFT AND CRISPY RECIPE!
This twisted donut recipe tastes just like childhood! The dough is light, easy to make, and turns out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, it’s perfect for an afternoon coffee or even to sell!

✅ Ingredients:
500 g all-purpose flour
350 ml milk
60 g granulated sugar
1 egg
30 g fresh yeast (or 10 g dry yeast)
50 g butter or margarine
Sugar and cinnamon for dusting
Oil for frying
👩🍳 Directions:
In a bowl, mix the milk, sugar, egg, and yeast. Stir well until dissolved.
Add the melted (or room temperature) butter and mix.
Gradually add the flour until the dough is smooth, soft, and no longer sticks to your hands.
Cover with a cloth and let rest for 20 minutes.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 0.5 cm thick.
Cut into strips, make a slit in the center of each one, and twist one end through the middle (traditional twisted donut shape).
Fry in hot oil (not too hot) until golden on both sides.
Drain on paper towels and, while still warm, coat with the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
📦 Yield:
Approximately 25 to 30 small pieces
❄️ Storage and Shelf Life:
In an airtight container: up to 4 days at room temperature
Freezing: not recommended after frying (loses crispiness)
