This is beautiful Kashmir and the most beautiful city of Kashmir, Mirpur, it is the second largest city of Kashmir, which is located in the extreme south of Azad Kashmir and its height above sea level is about 459 meters. It is located about 125 kilometers southeast of Pakistan's capital Islamabad, yes, the same Mirpur where Pakistan's second largest dam, Mangla Dam, is also present. The special thing about this city is the addition of Chakswari, about which we should say that Britain has become a part of this city because about 50% of the population of Chakswari lives in Britain and these are the same Pakistani citizens who have started a new beautiful airport here in Mirpur while sitting in Britain. Even the Prime Minister of Pakistan is paying special attention to this new Mirpur airport.
It so happened that twenty British parliamentarians (i.e. House of Commons and House of Lords) wrote a joint letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan demanding the establishment of an airport in Mirpur. They are of the view that this project will fulfill the long-standing demand of millions of Kashmiris living in the UK and now the interesting thing is that in recognition of their stand, work has started on the establishment of a new airport in Mirpur.
Actually, the plan to establish an airport here was approved in 2013 but the work has started now. If we talk about the feasibility of this new project, then remember that the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has taken concrete steps to hire consultants.
