Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer meets with the media after No. 8 Oklahoma defeated No. 22 Missouri 17-6 in Norman. Mateer recaps his two touchdown passes, breaks down the Sooners offensive approach and explains how Oklahoma handled the SEC’s top ranked defense.
Mateer finished 14 of 30 for 173 yards and added 60 yards on the ground. He also led scoring drives that included an 87 yard touchdown to Isaiah Sategna and an 8 yard strike to Javonnie Gibson. Mateer details the importance of ball security, the game plan against Missouri’s pressure packages and how Oklahoma’s defense and special teams helped tilt field position.
