Secret Breakup Reason of Abhishek and Karisma. Abhishek Bacchan and Karishma Kapoor’s relation was talk of the town in the 90s. They both were very good friends at first place and their friendship turned into love when Amitabh Bachchan approved their relationship. The Bacchans and the Kapoors were quite close and they wanted to turn their friendship into love. Many people don’t know that Bachchan family is the close relative of Kapoor family. Raj Kapoor's grandson Nikhil Nanda was married to Shweta Bachchan, daughter of Amitabh Bachchan. This is how these two families got related at the first place and both families fixed Karishma and Abhishek’s engagement. During shooting of ‘Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya’, Abhiskeh and Karishma got close together and dated each other for five years. We were shocked when Big B announced their official engagement publicly on his 60th birthday. Karishma and Abhishek both were happy with their relationship and Bachchan family also accepted Karishma as her daughter in law. Karishma never thought that shy Abhishek could ever propose her publicly. But, in an interview Karishma said Abhishek proposed her with a diamond ring. Surprised Karishma was amazed by this and gladly agreed to say ‘Yes’. But, suddenly, their fairy-tale love got a bad turn and within four months of their engagement, they broke up. The news of their separation came as a huge shock for the entire Bollywood. Though the reasons never came out clearly, but, there both families were responsible for that breakup. The Kapoor family blamed that the Bachchan family asked Karishma to quit her film career after marriage. Karishma was on the peak of her career then and doing hits back to back. She surly didn’t agree to that. But this is not at all the major reasons of their breakup. Thre was another reason that made this love story an unfinished one. According to reports, it was specifically Karishma’s mother who played the trick behind their break up. Babita made so many demands for her elder daughter Karishma from Bachchan family. She firstly asked Big B to register half of his property to her daughter’s name before marriage for her future security. Eventually, Amitabh Bacchan didn’t agree to that and Karishma’s mom was bit pissed off with that. Secondly, Babita wanted Abhishek and Karishma to live separately from Bachchan Villa. And this time, Jaya Bachchan couldn’t stay calm and both Jaya and Amitabh decided to call off the engagement. Babita’s rude proposal was going to break the Bachchan family and that was not at all pleasant for Jaya. Both Karishma and Abhishek had nothing to do with it because no one could go against their family. And Karishnma’s mom wasn’t ready to solve it mutually. And finally, the two broke up. Babita knew that her daughter Karishma won’t carry on a marriage for long. She was also concerned about Karishma’s Bollywood career.
