Dubbed the city of 401 deities, Ile-Ife is an ancient city in south western Nigeria.
Since its founding in 500 BC, it is known as the cradle of yoruba civilization and more than 50 Oonis of Ife have ruled the city.
The current and 51st, being His Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is setting his sights on a cultural rennaisance while mordernising monarchy.
Ola Awakan was privileged to have a one-to-one with the paramount ruler who occupies one of Africa's most respected royal seats.
