Sky News host Sharri Markson reports that One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson has called for an explanation from the Senate president regarding her week-long suspension from the chamber, which followed her political stunt in which she donned an Islamic burqa.
“Pauline Hanson has demanded answers from the president of the Senate over her week-long suspension for wearing a burqa,” Ms Markson said.
“Hanson also claims there's a major case of hypocrisy; she was suspended from the Senate for wearing a burqa, when the keffiyeh-wearing, salmon toting Greens have repeatedly gone unpunished.
“Very quick to condemn Pauline Hanson, she's an easy target, but when it comes to real accountability … the Albanese government is, as usual, missing in action.”
