In the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex we are deeply engaged in the study of psyche or soul. How do we understand psyche? Are we wary of the notion of soul? Do we share a common view of the origin and development of the image and concept of psyche in psychoanalysis? The Comparative Psychoanalysis Research Group is organising a series of seminars on the theme of psyche during the 2021-22 academic year.
The seminars will take place on Zoom on Tuesday evenings between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. Each evening will be hosted by a colleague who has selected a text for us to read beforehand and they will initiate the discussion. The event is open to all who have an interest in the topic.
