How To Reupholster Old Wingback Chairs - Before & After

Follow along as I learn how to reupholster an old wingback chair and sew a chair seat cushion!
Have you ever found a beautiful chair at an antique or second hand shop and wondered if you could bring it back to life? Well built furniture can last 100+ years but the upholstery wears out so much sooner. Old chairs usually have ripped, worn, stained, or really ugly fabric on them but if the structure is solid, they may be worth saving!

I'm always on the hunt for quality pieces of old furniture and I have scored some really incredible deals over the years. I've been holding onto 2 chairs for a while now and trying to get up the courage to try my hand at reupholstering them myself and I finally decided to just go for it!

I still can't believe I found this pair of old Ethan Allen chairs, secondhand for only $50! They're in great shape structurally and totally worth saving. I am excited to share my experience learning how to reupholster an old wingback chair! This before and after is definitely one of my new favorite DIY project!
