The lives of Meranaw in Marantao, Lanao del Sur is deeply rooted in Lake Lanao. With a new generation of Bangsamoro people, there is a sense of urgency to protect the lake to preserve their culture and heritage. 'Marantao' was a runner up in the 2nd "Datu a Bantogen sa Ranaw" festival, an advocacy-based, socio-cultural video competition that aims to celebrate history, culture and arts, tourism, youth and peace in the province of Lanao del Sur, and promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
