This is flight 7 & 8 from my recent trip where I flew around the world. In September/October, I set out to fly around the Earth, and after 16 days, 13 airlines, 33 flights, and over 38,000 miles, I landed back in Kansas City, Missouri after visiting 13 different countries. Around The World Progress – Flight 8 of 33
Flight 7 & 8 Fun Fact – This was easily the most challenging flight I've ever filmed and edited. It actually took me longer to edit the video than the actual flight time of the flight. Filming at night is difficult in the best scenarios, and this flight had multiple not ideal scenarios playing out at the same time. On top of it bering dark and the challenges that poses, in this situation it was also raining in Honolulu which meant the window was covered in water. Making it even more difficult to keep the camera focused. Also, as can be seen when the wing lights are switched on, the window as actually dirty and streaky. This makes the focus issue even worse. The crew also never completely dimmed the cabin lights which meant I was dealing with reflection issues as well. Then, when we landed in Apia the windows actually fogged over, adding yet another layer to the onion of focus issue already plaguing this flight. I have been filming flights for over 10 years now and I had to pull every trick out of the bag to get this flight filmed and the editing process was an absolute nightmare. So, all of that to say that this flight consumed more time to film and edit than any other video on my channel!
