Tour of The Portal North Bridge Construction Site FT: Current Portal Bridge Opening (6/18/24)

I was invited out along with a few guests of mine to tour the Portal North Bridge Construction Site by Skanska USA and was allowed to take photos & videos throughout the tour. All on-site safety rules & precautions were followed throughout this site visit.
Never trespass on private property, railroad property, construction sites (etc). It's not only illegal but also dangerous.



Hey Everyone! In today's video, you will see some footage I took on my tour of the Portal North Bridge Construction Site. This footage includes walking around the site, standing atop a section of the new bridge, and a few NJT & Amtrak trains passing by. An appearance is made by the Amtrak "Corridor Clipper" & NJT Hudson Protect Set.

On June 18th, I was kindly invited out to the site by Skanska along with a few guests of mine. It really was an awesome tour and provided some great insight into the project, and showed me just how much goes into transit infrastructure projects like this. As I want to pursue a career in civil engineering in the transportation sector in the future, this experience proved fun, educational, & helpful to me. I would truly like to thank the folks at Skanska who made this possible. I would also like to thank my guests who attended.
