Ooty is one of the famous tourist destination in South India and have so many tourist attractions are available in Ooty. One of the famous tourist place in Ooty is Masinagudi and this is situated 30 kms away from Ooty. Two routes are available for going to Masinagudi from Ooty. One is the Mysore National Highway via Gudalur & Mudumalai and another one is very dangerous Kalhatty ghat road. If we go to Masinagudi via Gudalur, it will take 82 kms and if we go via Kalhatty ghat road it will take 30 kms only. So most of the tourister would like to go to Masinagudi via Kalhatty. But local vehicle (TN 43) and buses only are allowed to go to downhill of the Kalhatty road. But all the vehicles can permit to go to uphill. Two years back I went to Ooty Masinagudi via Kalhatty ghat road (uphill). But downhill is very dangerous and thrilling. So I was try to go to Singara from Ooty via Kalhatty & Masinagudi by TNSTC bus. The bus was started in Ooty bus stand at 7.30 am and reached Singara at 9.30 am. During the travel I saw wild elephants and other animals also. Really that travel was very thrilling and excitement also.
