These Honey Garlic Chicken Bowls are perfect for those looking for something high in protein, low in calories, and delicious!

– Recipe –

Ingredients:
• 1 kg - Chicken Thighs (Skinless)
• 2 tbsp Cloves of Garlic (Grated)
• 1 tsp White Pepper
• 3 tbsp Soy Sauce

Honey Garlic
• 2 Tbsp - Unsalted Butter
• 1/3 Cup - Soy Sauce
• 1/4 Cup - Chicken Stock
• 1 ½ tsp - Cornstarch
• 1 ½ Tbsp - Honey
• 1 tsp - Sugar

• 1 ½ Cups - Rice (Any variety you prefer)
• 1 stalk of Green Onions

Makes 5 Servings

Macros: 560 Calories | 50g Protein | 19g Fat | 31g Carbs

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Start by washing the rice a few times until the water runs clear. Then, add 500ml of water and place it in a rice cooker. If you don’t have a rice cooker, cook the rice on the stovetop over high heat until it begins to boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cook for 10 minutes, or until the desired doneness is reached. Stir occasionally to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
3. Prepare the chicken thighs by trimming off any excess fat (as much as you can) and cutting them into 1-inch pieces for even cooking. Season with garlic, white pepper, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt. Mix everything well.
4. Place 100g of flour in a bowl and add the seasoned chicken. Toss until all pieces are lightly coated in flour.
5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread the chicken evenly on the tray. Make sure the pieces are spaced out to allow for even cooking.
6. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
7. In a saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant. Add the soy sauce and chicken stock, and bring to a simmer. Then, add the sugar, a pinch of salt, and cornstarch to thicken the sauce. Stir in the honey and adjust the seasoning to taste.
8. Remove the chicken from the oven and transfer it to a mixing bowl. Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss until it is evenly coated.
9. Divide the chicken into 5 containers and add the cooked rice to each. Slice the green onions into small pieces and garnish on top of the dish.
