When purchased as a kit, you get two 5.0 Ah batteries, and the runtime on those batteries is fair.  The combination of the brushless motor and high capacity battery allows this tool to run efficiently.  For working in the field, these batteries are more than enough for most service tasks.  Back in the shop is another story.  For shop use, we would go with the 9.0 Ah battery to get more runtime out of the tool or go back to pneumatics.   When looking at changing 18 tires on a tractor trailer or 44 tires on a full train, the runtime is a big concern and so is speed.  Completing all that work in a workday means that the tool must remain consistent in performance and in fastening torque.  In our use, the power felt very consistent as the battery was drained down.  Even at 25% battery life, the tool still felt almost as powerful as if it was fully charged.

This New  Milwaukee Fuel Impact Wrench is very comfortable to use and for the power it produces, it is fairly easy on your wrist.  You will notice the torque in your hand when using it and plan to smile after you pull the trigger for the first time.  Milwaukee's new 3/4" impact wrench makes taking off 1,000 ft-lbs tight nuts feel like you're taking the lug nut off a Toyota Prius.  There is no other way to explain it and the only way to get the full effect of this tool is to use this tool to remove all the lug nuts off a semi except the last one.  Get out the breaker bar and remove the last one yourself.  That will allow you to appreciate its power and speed.

With Milwaukee's ONE-KEY system, you can set up the four modes in any way you would like.  Inside the app, you can adjust the speed and torque settings and tune them in for impressive accuracy.  Milwaukee uses an impact counter to help to get each bolt closely torqued making this one of the most accurate impact wrenches on the market.  Also note, impact wrenches have been noted forever as being the most inaccurate tools on fastening.  ONE-KEY allows for many other features and adjustments, but it also lets you track the tool.  For a large service tool like this one, knowing where it is can be very important.
