ZALA "Lancet" Deprived the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Over 120 T-64 Tanks
The T-64 became the most produced tank in the Ukrainian army. According to open sources, since the beginning second year of War, the ZALA Lancet reconnaissance and strike complex has destroyed mora than 121 T-64 tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Operators of the Lancet loitering munition family receive enemy equipment coordinates in real time from ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAVs. Due to their high maneuverability, high-quality video signal, and the use of modern control and navigation algorithms, the Lancets are capable of attacking armored vehicles from unexpected directions, hitting weakly protected areas, which often leads to the detonation of munitions.
The T-64 tank, developed in the 1960s, became one of the main combat vehicles of the armored forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine inherited hundreds of these tanks, which were modernized into the T-64BV, T-64BM Bulat, and other versions. These tanks are distinguished by their composite armor, 125 mm cannon, and relatively high mobility. During the modernization, the latest versions of the combat vehicles also received modern thermal imaging cameras, a satellite navigation system, a digital radio station, and updated dynamic protection. According to Ukrainian media, at the beginning of the Central Military District, the Ukrainian army had around 800 active T-64 tanks in service.
We present a selection of images from objective tracking of the use of Lancets against T-64 tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Sources say 121 tanks, but it is well known that many more have been destroyed by Lancet munitions, Russian FPV drones and anti-tank missiles.
