Outlander is a popular Starz historical drama television series (and book series by Diana Gabaldon) blending romance, science fiction, and adventure. It follows Claire Randall, a 1945 British combat nurse who is mysteriously transported back to 1743 Scotland, where she falls for Highland warrior Jamie Fraser.

Though I haven’t finished the series yet, I can say with certainty that both Outlander and its original composer, Bear McCreary, have shaped a meaningful part of my artistic vision. That’s why it felt necessary to create a tribute to such a special story.

A cinematic ambient piece inspired by a timeless place. Ancient stones standing against the wind, and a man caught between loyalty, love, and fate.
