Sardar Darbara Singh owned agricultural land, kept livestock, and employed two servants. He was known for his kind and respectful behavior toward Muslims and Christians of the village, reflecting the spirit of harmony that existed in pre-1947 Punjab.
In this video, an 85-year-old Christian elder named Abdullah, a lifelong resident of the village, shares firsthand memories and stories about Sardar Darbara Singh Virk, his house, lifestyle, and his relations with the local Muslim and Christian communities.
This documentary-style video is part of our effort to preserve Sikh heritage, pre-Partition Punjab history, and forgotten stories of communal harmony in Pakistan.
