Hell or High Water has always been one of my all-time favorite movies — a modern Western masterpiece full of grit, heart, and raw truth. Toby’s words about poverty being a disease stuck with me from the first time I heard them, and I knew one day I’d turn that feeling into music.
This video is my tribute to that story. I poured my love and soul into writing and performing “Poverty is a Disease”, crafting every lyric from Toby’s point of view. I’ve matched the song with some of the most powerful scenes from the film to capture the struggle, sacrifice, and unbreakable bond at its core.
This is more than just a song — it’s a thank you to one of the greatest films I’ve ever seen.
