রাজধানীর মূল সড়কে আর ব্যাটারি রিকশা চলতে দেবে না উত্তর সিটি করপোরেশন। মঙ্গলবার আসাদ গেট এলাকায় এক অভিযানে, শতাধিক রিকশা গুঁড়িয়ে দেয়া হয়। অবৈধ এসব রিকশার বদলে অনুমোদিত নকশার বাহন শিগগির সড়কে নামানো হবে। এ মাসেই চালকদের প্রশিক্ষণ শুরু করবে করপোরেশন। দেবে লাইসেন্সও। পাশাপাশি, ব্যাটারি রিকশার ওয়ার্কশপ ও চার্জিং পয়েন্টও বন্ধ করবে ডিএনসিসি।
The North City Corporation will no longer allow battery-powered rickshaws to ply on the capital's main roads. More than a hundred rickshaws were crushed in a drive in the Asad Gate area on Tuesday. These illegal rickshaws will soon be replaced by approved design vehicles. The corporation will start training drivers this month.
