Katy Perry and all-female crew complete Blue Origin space trip

An all-female space crew have touched down on Earth after completing an 11-minute trip to space.

The six-woman team, which featured pop singer Katie Perry, took off from the base in Texas cheered on by a host of celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey.

The journey was made on Jeff Bezos's New Shepard NS-31 as part of his Blue Origin programme.
