00:00 Design and Draw the Shapes first
00:09 Cut out your design using jeweller's saw. File the edges to keep them smooth
Measure and anneal the bezel strip and form it to match perfectly the shape of your gemstone
00:21 Once the bezel strip is adequately formed to fit tightly the gemstone, file the endings so that they match perfectly and provide best connection for better soldering.
00:51 Flux the joints and solder them using hard solder. Be careful with heat! Remember to heat all bezel evenly and use soldering pick to transfer the solder once the bezel is hot. Remove the flame as soon as you see the solder melting and all metal glowing in red colour. Quench and pickle.
01:15 Use sanding paper to even the bottom of the bezel.
01:22 An easy and fast way to remove sticker paper it to melt it completely with the fire torch.
Texture the Silver Sheet. Use a metal stamp, or any other tool of your choice that will allow you to create an interesting texture, and create a pattern on the surface of the silver sheet. (For best results, anneal the silver first). Place the sheet on a sturdy surface (steel block, for example) and hammer the stamp onto the metal to create the desired texture. (sorry, no image - I forgot to turn on the camera 😂).
01:29 Solder the Bezel to the back-plate. Use medium solder. First heat evenly all the element, then continue heating where the solder should flow.
Use scrap silver to create tiny balls (yes, I forgot about this one too, but you can see how I make it in this video too:

Solder the details using solder paste, it will keep them in place and allow easier soldering.
Quench and pickle.
Also solder the top link made with ball wire - use the paste, extra easy solder. If necessary, protect already soldered elements using protective paste (If you don't have one, white corrector, type Tipp-ex, will do too. 02:01 Clean the surface - polish the piece to remove the rests of the fire-scale and oxidation marks.
02:15 Set the stone. Smooth the bezel with burnisher.
02:45 Polish, polish and ... polish ;)
Use bits of various grades and finish the process of polishing using pastes and soft polishing buffing wheel.
02:50 Polish with jewellery polishing cloth (and silver protective solution)

*Tips:
1)It’s easier to use various types of solder if your projects require soldering of various elements one by one. Go from hard to (extra) easy.
2) Silver solder in paste is great for soldering detail that need to stick in one place* 😉
3) Your metal scraps are a great ally in creating details like here: tiny spheres that will make the piece more appealing and add 3D effect and texture.
