Barcelona: Cathedral Roof Panorama

One of the most outstanding examples of medieval architecture in Europe is La Seu, the Cathedral of Barcelona located in the centre of Barri Gotic, the city’s Gothic Quarter. Tony and Helen climbed up to its roof for a unique view of Barcelona and its surrounds:

"From the Cathedral main spire, I'll pan around quickly and try to give you a closer view of the Barcelona skyline from the roof of the Cathedral.

There's Montjuic, and you can see the cable car there, I think,
(Clock chimes) And that's seven o'clock, and there's the sea, and a liner in port. And there you can see the Christopher Columbus Column.

Unfortunately, there's no cable cars on it at the moment, as far as I can see. Maybe it's not so popular. Or maybe they don't do it very often. 27 dollars, or rather, 27 euros, to go to the top of Montjuic
.
And that is the trendy 'W'Hotel, right on the seafront.
There are a few high rises in Barcelona, as you can see.
And just behind here, there's one that looks a bit like 'The Gherkin'. You can just see it there, I don't think it's been completed yet. (Ed: yes it has, it's the Torre Agbar).

Well there we are. We'll end up on the fine silhouette of the Cathedral's main spire: beautiful latticework, isn't it?"
