Ingredients:
Thin Beef Slices - 3 (500g)
Garlic - 5 to 6
Ginger - 2 small pieces
Dry Red Chilli - 6 to 7
Pepper Powder/Pepper corns - 2 Tsp
Cloves -3
Cinnamon - 1 piece
Vinegar - 1.5 Tbsp
Carrot - 1
Capsicum - 1
Onion - 1 big
Sliced Gherkins - few
Jalapeno Slices - few
Celery - 2 stalks
Parsley leaves - few
Oil - 1/4 cup
Butter/Ghee - 1 Tbsp
Beef stock - 1 cup
Cornflour - 2 Tbsp
Water - 2 cups
Method:
Wash and remove water with a kitchen towel from beef slices.
Take thin beef slices.
If slices are thick pound it with a meat hammer or empty bottle.
Grind gralic, ginger, dry red chilli,cloves,cinnamon and vinegar into paste.
Add salt and mix.
Spread the ground paste on beef slices and keep marinated for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes keep some gherkins,jalapeno,sliced onions and capsicum and roll it.
You can keep your choice of fillings like potato,carrot, cheese etc.
Tightly secure the rolls with thread or toothpicks.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the beef rolls till outer layer becomes dark brown.
Remove the rolls from oil.
Cut carrot,capsicum and onion into small pieces and saute for 1 min in the same oil on high flame.
Add small pieces of celery and saute for 1 min.
Pour 1 cup beef stock and 1 cup water and bring to boil.
Keep the fried beef rolls in the gravy and cook covered for 40 minutes until beef cooks well.
Add parsley leaves or coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
Remove the thread from the rolls.
Take out the beef rolls from the gravy.
Mix 2 Tbsp cornflour in 1 cup water and pour to the garvy .
Add 1 cup water and bring the gravy thick in medium flame.
Add the beef rolls and mix for 1 min.
Switch off the flame.
Enjoy with mashed potato, plain rice or pasta.
