The negative reviews are mostly because different hardware was needed to hang securely.
We attached to the wall (drywall) using toggle bolts. Some people call these butterfly anchors. Figure out what kind of hardware you need for where the bed is to be hung, and have it on hand ahead of time. If you know you can hit a stud with at least one of the fasteners that’s a plus. But where we wanted to put it fell right between the studs.

This wall mount cat bed is solid as you could ask for. Bruiser is 12 pounds and it is perfect for him. The underside of the cushion mat is made of fabric that clings to velcro, and the bed itself has velcro strips attached to the surface so the mat doesn’t slip around at all.

We hung this up high near the ceiling over his cat tree, and have another intermediate step on the wall (not shown in photo suppled) to help him navigate up there. He enjoys looking out two windows, and can also keep tabs on what’s going on in “his” house down below.
