Had a great day rockhounding the public (free) location of the Topaz Mountain Amphitheater for the elusive Red Beryls and sherry-colored Topaz! I set up at the base of a large rock pile about 2/3rds of the way up on the Southwest side of the amphitheater and found quite a few sifting through the rubble. Sifting for Red Beryl does require a lot of patience and a lot of luck, but the rewards can be amazing!
GPS: 39°41'48.7"N 113°06'17.2"W is the general area I was sifting.
