Amazon Wildlife | Peru | Tambopata National Reserve | The Amazing World of the Amazon

The Tambopata National Reserve in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest is one of the most biodiverse places in the world. Within this protected area live about 632 species of birds, 1200 butterflies, 169 mammals, 103 amphibians, 180 fish and 103 reptiles. The Amazon is an incredible beautiful place full of life which has so much to offer.

Discovering Peruvian Amazon in Puerto Maldonado was an unforgettable experience. We spent there 4 days, visiting Monkey island, Lake Sandoval, sailing on Madre de Dios river and observing caimans, different kind of monkeys, giant otters, so many parrots, macaws, toucans and other birds, snakes and reptiles. See the sunrise and sunset over Amazon river with sound of macaws and other animals was an incredible experience.
