Closed in 1972, this lovely piece of countryside is gonna be built on, a small village….apparently 🤬 please feel free to comment 😊....I wanted to get this footage before they build on it and its lost forever 😥

Wisley Airfield, located in Surrey, England, has a history as a former wartime airfield and later a test site for aircraft, particularly those built by Vickers. Initially a grass airstrip, it was converted to tarmac in 1952 for flight testing. The airfield ceased operations in 1973 due to its short runway and proximity to Heathrow Airport.
I’m definitely going to go back to do a ‘weypoint’ flight (GPS tracked) so I can accurately fly again after they start building so I can get an accurate comparison 😒
