City sharing: Wonsoon Park at TEDxSinchon

넘치는 상상력과 누구 못지 않는 열정과 실행력을 갖고 오늘을 살아가는 소셜 디자이너, 박원순 서울시장님입니다.

1956년 경남 창녕에서 출생해 1980년에 사법고시에 합격했고, 1년간의 검사생활 이후 1983년부터 인권변호사로 활동했습니다. 2006년부터는 '시민들에 의한 싱크탱크'를 모토로 시민들의 이익을 위해 실생활에서 활용할 수 있는 아이디어를 현실화하는 '희망제작소'를 만들어 소셜 디자이너로 활동하며 '아시아의 노벨상'이라 불리는 필리핀 막사이사이상 공공 봉사 부문에서 수상한 바 있습니다.

지난 2011년 10월부터는 제 35대 서울특별시 시장을 역임하고 있으며, 서울시의 수장으로서 서울시의 창조적 미래에 대한 이야기를 들려주실 예정입니다.

Proudly introducing our speaker, Won-soon Park, the mayor of Seoul city and a social designer who enlightens the city with creativity, passion and initiative. He was born in Changwon, Kyungsangnam-do in 1956. After passing the bar exam in 1980 and serving a year as a prosecutor, he started his career as a civil rights lawyer. Under the motto 'think-tank by the people', he has served as a social-designer at 'The Hope Institute(희망제작소)'. He was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award - renowned as the 'Nobel Prize of Asia' - in the public service area for his efforts to spread ideas designed to improve citizens' welfare. Since last October, he has been serving as the 35th mayor of Seoul and will be sharing ideas about Seoul's creative future.


What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
