An MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, assigned to the “Chargers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26, lifts off and an AV-8B Harrier fighter jet, assigned to the “Bulldogs” of Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 223, takes off from the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7).
Sailors conduct flight operations aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in the South China Sea. Nimitz is underway in the 7th Fleet area of operations on a scheduled deployment, demonstrating the U.S. Navy's unwavering commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
