I know a lot of film photographers who try their hardest to steer new film photographers into buying new films in 2022. At the same time, I agree that we should try our hardest to buy film that is being made today so that we can continue to have new film made in the future. I also love experimenting and shooting expired film. The truth of it all is that I have always been enamored with different film stocks. I have been in love with film photography since my first experience in the photography lab in high school. I have been shooting film as a professional for the last 12 years, and for some reason, when I see someone selling a lot of films online, I almost always find a reason to buy more film even when I don't need film.
