The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates tobacco products, including e-cigarettes or vapes. In recent years, there have been debates about whether e-cigarettes should be promoted as safer than combustible tobacco and what role the FDA or other policymakers should take in limiting e-cigarette use among youth. In this seminar, we will consider opportunities and barriers to policies that reduce tobacco use and mitigate disparities among socioeconomic groups.
