Aspöck Systems - RADC 2.0

The new Aspöck RADC 2.0 is the company's own improved version of the proven RDC-Premium ramp approach aid. It supports the driver when reversing a truck with trailer. In particular, it enables smooth docking onto the loading ramp. The RADC 2.0 optimally covers the large, non-visible area at the rear of the trailer with its 180-degree field of vision detection. Target braking is then performed for static objects such as a loading ramp. The radar sensor is also ready for use in all weather conditions and offers a configurable detection range.

Why is RADC 2.0 an innovation? The distance monitoring system not only detects objects behind the vehicle, but also dynamic objects from a defined, lateral speed in the extended detection range, which has been specially extended for cross-traffic detection. Based on such a detection, all monitoring signals are activated one after the other: The beeper - the acoustic detection signal - becomes audible. Two end outline marker lamps transmit a flashing visual warning signal until the emergency braking mode in the Aspöck control unit is activated during the reversing process and the haptic feedback is transmitted to the trailer EBS in the form of abruptly initiated braking with increased brake pressure. This is a very effective way of preventing potential collisions.
