From Season 1 Episode 16, Convent San Tanco's nuns draw names to provide Christmas presents for one another and Sister Bertrille draws Sister Olaf, an elderly nun from Scandanavia who's one wish is to see snow fall again before she dies. The young nun connives with the U.S. Weather Bureau to produce a snowstorm over the convent with disastrous results.
