Hello all!
In this video we will be seeing what you really get for your money with Hornby HSTs. Is it really worth the extra money for the ‘full fat’ version?
I now have two Hornby ‘New Measurement Train’ HST packs - the New 2020 Super Detailed version, aswell as an older Railroad version that has been converted. why not compare the two!
its a good opportunity to show the difference with TTS DCC Sound vs full Esu Loksound decoders.
It may be hard to tell from the video - probably as the Loksound powercars are so loud compared to TTS, but in person there is a big difference!

Decoder details -
TTS - standard decoders fitted wth a single ‘iphone’ speaker in each powercar, with the exhausts drilled out to let the sound escape.
ESU - Loksound V5 in both with Legomanbiffo sound file, Speakers are and EM1 in both, with single iphone in dummy car, sugarcube in powered car.
