Dubai is made up of almost 90% expats and 10% locals. Out of this 90% majority are from the Indian Sub-continent and many places around Dubai would make you feel like you are in India or Pakistan. Meena Bazaar is one such place. A heaven for ladies who want to shop for outfits and gold. Could be a nightmare for the men coz whereas there are a lot of shopping options for men, be ready to carry the bags and spend hours watching the bargaining match lol.
But its all worth it. There are so many clothes, jewellery, perfumes, accessories, spice and many other stores. The food scene is amazing too! Best time to go is in the evenings when its less hot and when the lights come on, you can see the place in its full glory!!!
Most shops will offer you karak chai and samosas or pakoras as you shop.... don't say No ....just enjoyyyyyy the shopping and those delicious bites - if you don't manage to score a good deal, at least you would have had garam garam pakoras!!!
