MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS ANNOUNCED TODAY FOR DOWNTOWN WINDSOR

The City of Windsor has announced two significant development initiatives that will introduce more than 380 new residential units to the downtown core.

As part of the Housing Solutions Made for Windsor strategy, two vacant and underutilized sites will be transformed into much-needed housing opportunities.

Location 1: Caron Avenue Parking Lots
Farhi Holdings will redevelop the existing parking lot into three mixed-use buildings featuring 200 residential units along with ground-floor commercial spaces, including a coffee shop and restaurant. Unit types will range from studio suites to three-bedroom layouts, providing a variety of options for residents.

Location 2: Riverside Drive West & Janette Avenue
In partnership with PCR Constructors, Farhi Holdings will construct a 28-storey residential tower offering 187 units, including four penthouses. The development will also include commercial space and a diverse mix of unit sizes.

Collectively, these two projects represent a $300 million investment in Windsor’s downtown, helping expand housing availability and revitalizing key areas of the city.

Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026. Exciting times are ahead for Windsor!
