This session is a continuation of last year’s pre-conference segment, Interventional Radiology (IR) Private Clinical Setting, and is designed to teach practice administrators and their partnered physicians how to build, finance, and set up a private practice.
The purpose of this session is to empower IR practice administrators with proper practice tools that effectively start and manage a new private practice. Participants will know key factors to consider when opening a private practice such as implementation of market analysis (target population, location, and competitors), credentialing requirements (state limitations), financial analysis (proforma’s and profit and loss models), operational needs (EHR, billing, coding, staffing), and business development strategies (sales and marketing).
Throughout the workshop participants will determine the return on investment (ROI), management of current budget, and best practices for the day-to-day operations of the practice.
At the end of the session, you will be able to:
Identify and explain at least one key factor (in each category) to consider when opening a private practice
Determine the appropriate methods in calculating return on investment (ROI)
Implement at least one best practice guideline that will be implemented in their current practice
